Vaccinations and Prevention Health for your puppy/dog
VACCINATIONS Schedule:
6 Weeks ...................................DA2PP (Lepto is not given at 6 weeks)
8-10 Weeks...............................Bordatella/DA2PP (Lepto is not given at 8-10 weeeks)
13 Weeks or older.....................DA2PPL4, Rabies
16 Weeks (or 3 weeks post Rabies Vax)...DA@PPL4
DA2PPL4 and Bordatella Boosters are to be given yearly. DA2PPL4 vaccinates against Distemper, 2 strains of Adenovirus, Parvoviris, Parainfluenza and 4 strains of Lepto. Parainfluenza and Canine influenza are two completely different things.
RABIES must have a one year booster if the first Rabies vaccination or if the time since the last Rabies exceeds one year. Once Rabies has been boostered it can be given every other year.
Parasite PROTECTION:
Proven protection, Simparica Trio (chewables) is demonstrated safe for puppies as young as 8 weeks old, weighing at least 2.8 lbs against heartworm disease, ticks & fleas, roundworms & hookworms. ProHeart (injectable) provides continuous protection from Heartworm Disease for 6mo or one full year when administered in office.
